ALTAR SERVERS:       Assist the Presider in liturgical service (Mass).   Contacts:   Linda Jones, Ron Daszczynski

BEREAVEMENT:     Help famililies with funeral liturgy, assist with needs of family members.   Bereavement group meets 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.    Call the Parish Office first to confirm before arriving at the parish.        Contacts:    Deacon Jose  Serrano and Marge Fletcher

CHOIRS:       Sing and bring joy and elation to liturgical services.    Contacts:   Cathy O’Donnell and Tony Kehoe (English Choir).     Laura Medina (Spanish Choir).     Nadyn Allonce (Creole Choir)

CONTACT MINISTRY:   Make daily contact with parishioners who request contact to check on their health, etc.      Contact:    (Open position)

CURSILLO / ULTREYA:     A method of seeking and developing a Christian spirituality.   English – Meets 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.   Spanish:   TBA

FOOD PANTRY:     Help stock food pantry with offerings from Community and distributes food to the needy.    Contact:   Frank and Midge Brandao

LADIES GUILD:  Meets 1st Tuesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. to plan spiritual and social activities of the parish.  Contact:  Linda Jones

LECTORS – PROCLAIMERS OF THE WORD:     Proclaim the Word of God in liturgies.  Contacts:  Olgar Miyar and Raymond Waite

LIFE LONG FAITH FORMATION:   Catechists and Aides make Christ come alive in the lives of students.   Contacts:   Linda Jones and Olgar Miyar

MAINTENANCE AND GROUNDS:    Assist in upkeep of the physical church building and church grounds.   Contact:  Evan Hendricks

MEALS ON WHEELS:   Deliver meals to the shut-ins in the Marion Oaks community once every five weeks on Thursdays .  Contact:   Cathy O’Donnell

MEN’S SOCIETY:  Meets the 1st Saturday of the month at 9:00 a.m. fora breakfast and to plan social activities for parishioners and friends.    Contact:    (Open)

MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION:   Trained members who assist the clergy in distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass.   Contacts:  Father Bart Garcon, Deacon Santos Santiago.

MINISTERS OF HOSPITALITY:   Greet parishioners and friends at Masses.   Assist in seating, taking up offerings of parishioners, and offer general aid where needed.  Contact:  Linda Vozzella.

MINISTERS OF THE SICK:   Compassionate visitors who bring holy communion and comfort the sick and shut-ins of the parish.   Contact:  Margaret Fletcher

NEW SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES:  Small groups of parishioners and friends who meet weekly in homes to read and discuss the upcoming Sunday gospel.  Contact:  Father Bart Garcon, Pastor

PARISH NURSES:   Provide health service by visits, teaching, blood pressure tests, etc.   Contact:  Grace Shadeck

PASTORAL COUNCIL:    Appointed and elected members of the parish who advise in the administration of the church.   Contact:   Father Bart Garcon, Pastor

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults):  Presents the teachings of the Catholic Church and prepares candidates for the sacraments and helps Catholics returning to the faith.  Contact:  Deacon Santos Santiago

ROSARY MINISTRY:  The Rosary Ministers of St. Jude parish would like to invite you to consider joining us in leading the recitation of the daily rosary before Masses on TUESDAYS through FRIDAYS.  Our mission is to ask Our Lady of the Rosary to bestow upon us family blessings, to heal the evils of our times, to pray for the needs of the church, the nation, and the entire world, to obtain peace in the world and for our congregation to grow in holiness.  If you can assist us in expanding our mission or you have questions you would like answered about this ministry, please call the parish office at 352-347-0154.
